The bowl

Jiro-style ramen: thick noodles in a heavy pork and soy-sauce soup, topped with pork and vegetables. Free extras are requested by 'call'—garlic (ninniku), vegetables (yasai), extra seasoning (karame) and back fat (abura). Tsukemen versions are also on the menu.

How to order

Enter first, then buy your ticket inside. The machine gives no change and the house rule is to bring 1,000-yen notes, so break larger bills beforehand. The Tabelog menu (updated 2022, prices may differ) lists small (sho) and large (dai) ramen, buta-iri (extra pork) versions, an 'all-in' bowl and tsukemen. A half-noodle request is possible, but one bowl per person is recommended.

Before you go

  • Weekday evenings only: Mon-Fri 17:00-22:00; closed weekends and holidays.
  • Cash only: no cards, e-money or QR payments (Tabelog).
  • Counter only, 8 seats. Renge (soup spoons) are available.
  • On the 26th of each month ('Jiro Day') the shop offers a special thank-you topping.
  • Children are welcome, per Tabelog.
