Jiro-style
Ramen Jiro Sengawa
ラーメン二郎 仙川店
The Sengawa branch of Ramen Jiro: a 10-seat counter shop two minutes from Sengawa Station, open evenings only, serving Jiro-style ramen with thick noodles, pork and piled vegetables.
The bowl
This is Jiro-style ramen: thick noodles in a pork and soy-sauce soup, topped with pork and vegetables. Free extras are requested with a 'call'—garlic (ninniku), vegetables (yasai), back fat (abura) and extra seasoning (karame).
How to order
Buy your meal ticket from the machine before joining the queue. The Tabelog menu (updated 2022, prices may have changed) lists a half (fewer noodles), the regular ramen, buta-iri (extra pork) and large sizes. When the staff ask, say which toppings you want, e.g. 'ninniku yasai'; portions are large, so the half is the safer first order.
Before you go
- Evenings only: Mon-Sat 17:00-21:00; closed Sundays and holidays.
- Cash only: no cards, e-money or QR payments (Tabelog).
- Counter only, 10 seats; no renge (soup spoons) provided.
- Children are not allowed, per Tabelog.
- Takeaway and raw noodles are sold.
