Jiro-style
Ramen Jiro Hibarigaoka Ekimae
ラーメン二郎 ひばりヶ丘駅前店
A Ramen Jiro branch a few minutes from Hibarigaoka Station on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line, serving Jiro's thick noodles in pork-and-soy broth with the classic free topping 'call'.
The shop
The Hibarigaoka Ekimae branch opened on June 11, 2006 and was selected for Tabelog's Ramen Tokyo Hyakumeiten list in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
The bowl
This is Jiro-style ramen: thick noodles in a heavy pork-and-soy broth, topped with pork and a mound of vegetables. Free extras are garlic, vegetables, extra sauce (karame) and back fat (abura). The shop does not change noodle firmness.
How to order
Buy a meal ticket from the machine after entering. While you wait in line, staff may ask your noodle amount: large, small, or a reduced small, so think about portion size before you arrive. When your bowl is ready you call your toppings, choosing from ninniku (garlic), yasai (vegetables), karame and abura.
